Food for Thought

Been looking for proof that we need to revise our approach to sexuality and reproduce? Wondeirng ab out how we define gender and what is “acceptable” within a relationship? Here are two articles that discuss both of  these questions:

What world do we live in?

A new anti-rape female condom has just been released. Inspired by an experience she had with a rape victim while working as a medical researcher 40 years ago, Dr. Sonnet Ehlers just gave away 30,000 of these condoms near the World Cup in a hope that women will feel safe in situations that would normally leave them uneasy.

Food for Thought

With the increasing number of areas legalizing same-sex marriage, there is another “taboo” that activists are campaigning for in the Nation’s capital. This article looks at the agenda of legalizing prositution. What might this mean? As one of the oldest professions, does legalizing it move us forward or backward? And how might this change our day-to-day attitude toward sex and reproduction?

Update!

Hello All!!

As I am currently a one-human army, while still gathering more artists, things are getting up and going slowly but surely. There should be a new series of photos soon, with more locations of where condoms and cards were planted.

Until then, I’ve started working on a series of toys that examines gender/sexual awareness. I’ll be posting some finished pictures soon, as I’m hoping to expand out into an etsy store with toys, fabric, and greeting cards available.

I’d love to hear feedback, stories of how you found our materials, and suggestions of where you’d want us to be.

Happy summer!

Call for Photos

Hello all!

We’re looking for your help with gathering photos of cards and condoms that have been found throughout the U.S.

Additionally, we’d love your own art to add to the movement. You’d be fully credited and it would be great way to get your work out there.

Your thoughts and comments are greatly appreciated!

Thanks!!
